31st December – The Last Day of 2024

Traveling

Someone once said, “If the end is good, then everything is good.”
I had thought of something similar long ago, and with that hope, I wanted to make the last day of the year my best day. My goal was simple—to reflect on my good deeds, bad habits, and mistakes, and welcome a better version of myself into the new year.

The last day wasn’t anything extraordinary, yet it had its own quiet charm. Honestly, this year turned out worse than I had expected. Still, amidst the struggles, there were moments of growth and learning that shaped me in ways I didn’t realize at the time.

One major highlight was attending weddings and traveling alone to my relatives’ house. For me, this was a big achievement, as my parents rarely allow me to go anywhere alone. Traveling solo to another district was a fresh and enriching experience. Even now, as I write this, memories from that journey fill my mind and remind me how far I’ve come in terms of independence.

I had planned to make the last day productive, giving my best to every task. However, my health didn’t cooperate, and I couldn’t study as much as I wanted to. Still, the day wasn’t wasted. Some relatives visited, and I spent quality time with them. The day ended on a happy note—and that mattered the most.

A Quick Look at How 2024 Unfolded

  • January: Full of pressure due to board exams, leaving little room for excitement.

  • February: Peaceful after exams; visited relatives for a refreshing break.

  • March–April: Returned to serious studies for NEET-UG preparation.

  • May: Attended a wedding just days before the NEET exam—memorable and emotional.

  • June: A dull month with disappointing NEET results, but also a lesson in perseverance.

  • July: Took a drop year to prepare better and start afresh.

  • August: The festive season brought some joy and relaxation.

  • September: The toughest month of my life, filled with serious family problems and emotional exhaustion.

  • October: Slowly recovered from September and regained focus.

  • November: Enjoyed Diwali vibes and felt optimistic again.

  • December: The best month of the year—celebrated my birthday (I’m a twin!), studied the most hours ever, and even learned to ride a bike in just one day on December 25th.

This year taught me the importance of resilience and taking action. I’m not someone who plans everything beforehand—I act first and plan along the way. While this approach works for me, I’ve learned to overthink less and focus more on execution.

Short-Term Goals for 2025

  • Crack NEET-UG.

  • Become a better version of myself by channeling my skills in the right direction.

I’ve also started learning martial arts and calisthenics online to strengthen my skinny frame. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m genuinely excited about the journey ahead.

Before ending this post, I want to share a poem sent by an online friend—one that deeply resonated with me:

In English, we say: long-distance relationship ❤️
But in shayari:
December ki sard raat hai..! 🥰
Shaal toh usne odhi hogi..? 😘
Aadhi chai pee li hogi..! ❣️
Aadhi aadatan chhodi hogi...? ☕😍
Aur meri yaad....? 💞
Arre kahan…!! 🥹
Unhein itni fursat thodi hogi...!! 🥺🥀

Let’s pray, hope for the best, and thank the universe for giving us life and opportunities to grow.
Here’s to a brighter and better 2025.

Thank you 😊
Yours own Blogger,
A. Kumar
